I´ve also reinstalled QuickTime and Adobe Flash Player, cos it seems that the crash comes when NXT-G tries to show the main animation. Nothing at all.These weeks I´m giving a course to 30 teachers in Spain so that they know NXT and its software. As you can imagine it is difficult to learn people about a software that don´t run. If you don't see 'LEGO Devices' at all or it isn't listed as 'LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Firmware Update Mode' then you have incorrect driver. Workaround - Use Windows XP or Mac for your firmware update. Hard reset your brick and then update firmware using a Windows XP or Mac computer.
